aixACCT Systems becomes first pre-certified hardware partner to join Hubject’s Plug&Charge ecosystem

Berlin, January 30, 2024 – Hubject is thrilled to welcome aixACCT Systems GmbH as the latest partner to join our rapidly expanding Plug&Charge ecosystem. aixACCT successfully cleared the EVSE CHECK audit of their CP-ISO controller. This makes it the first pre-certified hardware partner to join the Hubject Plug&Charge ecosystem.

The Hubject EVSE CHECK empowers service providers in the EV industry to seamlessly integrate with the expansive global Hubject Plug&Charge ecosystem. This comprehensive testing process ensures the verification of ISO15118-2 communication, specifically focusing on Plug&Charge interactions among EVs, EVSEs, CPMS, and the broader Plug&Charge ecosystems.

aixACCT is the first company in the market to provide a pre-certified AC EVSE controller. Using a pre-certified EVSE controller speeds up the development cycle, reduces testing effort and the time to market for a new EVSE significantly. The CP-ISO controller showcases the capability to perform ISO 15118-2 Plug&Charge communication using OCPP 1.6.

Elexon GmbH will be the first customer to use the Plug&Charge-capable CP-ISO from aixACCT with its AC dual charging station "A2".

To ensure the long-term quality of the whole system, the EVSE CHECK is required for every EVSE manufacturer seeking access to the Hubject Plug&Charge environment. Successfully tested EVSE producers are permitted to use the Hubject EVSE CHECK Logo to demonstrate to CPOs and others that it is a verified solution. The "CP-ISO" controller can be added to existing charging stations equipped with our controllers with minimal conversion work, making them future-proof with ISO 15118.

Particularly in charging stations for fleets, our controllers meet all customer requirements tens of thousands of times thanks to their robustness and maximum flexibility. As a development focus, the "CP-ISO" controller will soon also be available in a DC version. The operating software developed in-house represents the common platform for AC and DC charging as well as load management and enables customer-specific adaptations with extremely short development times.

As part of major German and European funding projects, we will be presenting prototypes for vehicle-to-grid (V2G) bi-directional operation based on ISO 15118-20 by summer 2024. This will enable us to offer pioneering technologies ready for production.
