BERLIN, November 3rd, 2025 - Hubject, the global leader in eMobility interoperable charging solutions, announces a strategic partnership with Electra, a rapidly expanding European specialist in fast-charging solutions for electric vehicles. This partnership integrates Electra's growing network of high-power charging stations into Hubject's intercharge eRoaming platform and enables Plug&Charge functionality using ISO 15118 standards, enhancing charging accessibility and convenience across Europe.
With 500+ charging stations and over 3,000 active charging points across nine European countries and an ambitious expansion plan to reach 2,200 stations and 15,000 charging points by 2030, Electra's integration with Hubject's intercharge network significantly expands the high-power charging options available to drivers within the Hubject ecosystem. With Plug&Charge capability enabled by Hubject's technology, EV drivers will be able to simply plug in their vehicles at Electra stations for automatic authentication, authorization, and billing without requiring apps or payment cards.
Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject, commented: "We are pleased to welcome Electra to our intercharge network. Their focus on high-power charging solutions aligns perfectly with our mission to provide EV drivers with convenient, reliable charging options. By enabling both eRoaming connectivity and Plug&Charge functionality, this partnership makes EV charging as simple as traditional refueling."
Aurélien de Meaux, CEO of Electra, adds : “This partnership marks a key milestone between two European players committed to seamless electric mobility. Together with Hubject, we are combining our expertise to simplify the charging experience across the continent. By making EV charging more fluid, interoperable, and accessible, we can concretely accelerate the energy transition and achieve our collective goals."
Key Benefits of the Partnership:
