Berlin (August 5th, 2020) — Leading provider for interoperability services, known as eRoaming, will intensify its activities in the rapidly growing French market in 2020, with a strong pipeline of well-known operators set to integrate its proven platform and eRoaming solutions.«With its six physical borders France, is a central market for eMobility and plays a significant role for international mobility across Europe and therefore for the interoperability of EV charging infrastructure.» says Hubject's CEO Christian Hahn. Mr. Yan Garnier, a senior sales manager with experience in mobility services and the public sector, has joined Hubject's team already composed of more than 70 employees of 24 different nationalities in July 2020.“Our societies are facing unprecedented environmental, economic, and societal challenges. Electric mobility partly addresses these three problems, but the difficulties encountered by users in recharging their cars outside their usual network of charging points is a real obstacle for users and potential buyers of EVs.”Hahn added, “France has emerged as one of the strongest and most mature eMobility markets in Europe, delivering consistent quarterly and annual growth. We firmly believe, however, that there is room for further growth and that the operators, who are willing to integrate into our platform and technology solutions will reap sizeable benefits.”
Presented on May 26th by President E. Macron, the plan to support the automotive industry is a real catalyst for the electrical industry in France. At the heart of this plan is the announcement of massive support for the acquisition of a new electric or hybrid vehicle, as well as the advancement of the objective of deploying 70,000 new charging stations by the end of 2021, compared with the initial 2022 forecast, to bring the fleet to 100,000 units.Christian Hahn: “We are committed to our current and future partners in France to drive forward the common cause of electric mobility. Our business units for eRoaming, Consulting, and Plug&Charge now benefit from our local presence”.Mr. Hahn concluded: “Both France and Germany are internationally recognized for their expertise in the automotive and new technology sectors. The demand shows that now is the right time to take our investment in western Europe to the next level with placing a market development member in France to strengthen relations with our current and new partners and support them in their projects”.
With already 18 partnerships in France with companies and public bodies such as Chargemap, Freshmile, Electric 55 Charging, Ionity France, Renault, SAP Labs, Schneider Electric, Syndicat Départemental d'Energies de l'Yonne (SDEY), SPIE, Virta France and others, Hubject already connects approx. 15% of the charging stations installed in France.“We aim to connect as many charging stations and mobility services as possible through our platform”, says Mr. Garnier. “Only 15% of the charging stations in France are open to roaming with our local and international partners. This is not enough for EV drivers to easily charge their vehicles in France and across Europe. As Hubject already supports more than 750 different companies to improve their eMobility business by Hubject’s services, I ́m happy to share this experience now with companies in my home country as well”.
